a6 vs. z6 crank/girdle

are they the same? i have a bent rod/spun bearing on the z6 that's locked on the crank (13psi on a t3/t4 done by the dude i bought the motor from), but i have a perfect a6 crank laying around, are the journal sizes the same? also i'd like to use the a6 crank girdle, imo steel girdle > aluminum one. will they fit?

i believe the cranks should swap right guys? Id think twice about swapping girdles like that unless i had it align honed to make sure it was perfectly straight and it lined up

a6 and z6 cranks are the same, same with y7,y8. So the girdle should swap as well.

btw, D series for life! ;D

girdles dont swap like cranks
to do it correctly you must line bore unless you get lucky and find a girdle that matches your block bearings
