compression will drop to 8.6:1 |
Re: a6 head on z6 block?
good compression to go turbo? basically i got a bent valve on the z6 head and since i have an extra a6 head. I wanted to slap it on for now so i can be able to drive it.

Re: a6 head on z6 block?
I just put a b1 head on a z6 with no problems. Like everybody said you have to put an oil jet on the z6 block ( before you ask, there's a place for it. )

Re: a6 head on z6 block?
would you use a p06 ecu for this?
|
Re: a6 head on z6 block?
you can keep the P28 and never mind the cel 22 code. You'd have a 6800 rpm limter instead of 6500 with the PO6.
The PO6 maps and low cam maps on the P28 are damn near Identical. |
Re: a6 head on z6 block?
Might have to use the a6 timing belt, unless you can get the tensioners to stretch far enough.

A6 is the bestest D-series head... if you are willing to run o/s valves and do a little work to one. Not that I'd worry about it when DIY boost controllers are $15 or so. :) |
Re: a6 head on z6 block?
no actually i am using a PM6 ( CRX Si ECU) and im having problems getting the right timing belt for it. Damn it. Actually the block is a JDM D16a (very similar to a z6 block)
