what does cylinder position code mean, the guy I bought my rex off of said the check engine light was on bc of the TPS and he said it was also saying cylinder number 1 position. What the hell is that....timing maybe?

ask him what codes he got. Or better yet, pull them again yourself.

ok I just pulled the codes, they were 6 and 9 which is coolant position sensor and cylinder no 1 position sensor. I know the coolant one isnt working right bc it doesnt even read and one time the guy hooked it back up and it worked for a day. What am I going to do about that other code with the cylinder position thing.

 

not coolant position sensor, cylinder pos sensor, and no1 TDC.. you need a new dist.

 

yeah I just bought a used one today to fix it now Im trying to figure out how to fix the coolant sensor.
