98 audi mas/maf?

I have a 98 audi a4 non turbo, and I want to do some basic bolt ons, I ordered a cold air intake kit for it and the mas air flow sensor got in the way, the plate that came with the intake did not match to the sensor... but my question is, is possible to use a inline MAS/MAF from another car, I don't know crap about mas compatibility, and the sensor thats on the a4 require a bracket. I did do a search, so go ahead and flame me!

but I'm not trying to modify much, all I want is intake exhaust, and any minor mods that will not cause this car to fail tuv inspections, all I want is suspension, already ordered the kit, and engine bolt ons... I some stuff about chip tuning but its not worth it, the car is fast enough, I just hate factory intakes, and exhaust. you are in europe you know some sfuff, I will be giving the netherlands a visit when I come home, maybe you can show some places

my freind with his VW used the nuspeed intake and that bracket fit the bosch maf. is it a rectanuglar shape that extends from inside the tube and a rectanglar hole in the middle with a little bar that sticks out? id assume it would be the same. you could always drill new holes on your bracket to make it fit.

http://www.airintakeshop.com/air_int...etta_III_2.jpg it looks kindove like that and the mass airflow sensor bolts to the back of it.

I'm working on that but its gonna have sealing problems, but I'll find a way to fix that, I just don't wanna get ghetto with the audi.

its different from that, inside the box there is no space for a cone filter, I would have to remove the box completely, like on a civic. and then the exhaust is right there. thanks though.

you have to take off the stock airbox anyway

Re:98 audi mas/maf?

yeah I modify the adapter today to make it fit, after all that, it was not worth it, because after I remove the air box the intake was exposed to the exhaust, they are too close to each other, so I put it back to normal, I think I'm gonna keep it the way it is until I pay it off, but I'll still lowered it though. man Germans suck!
