Default 95 civic / ls or b16 swap

I can't belive it! Today, i w out racing on this little used 4 lane road in an industral area by my house, and yup, i think i fucked up my tranny. I was with two buddies, one in a Probe and another in a 5.0 Mustang. Ok, running againtst the Probe, i stated okay, and then when i was at like 7 grand in second, tried to shift into third, and it didn't wanna go in, it just grinded the first and second time(clutch fully depressed), so i pulled it back a little and forced the ****** in. it started to go, but it was too late! I got blew out by a probe! . Well, when we slowed down, i couldn't get the shifter to move much. So we all pulled over. Eventually i got it to shift, but i can't get it into 1st gear, except when i'm like rolling at 5mph and work real hard to get it in. It also grinds in all other gears when I shift into them. Well, i'm assuming it is my scyncros. I donno the cost of thoes and the labor of doing that... but i called a junkyard and they want 350$ for one with 88,000 miles on it.

So my dilemma... i have been working on getting this d16z6 turboed... got all the parts except v-afc and some charge pipes and some oil-collent lines. I have a 14b turbo...... so i was debating.... go with either a b16a or get a b18/a/b ( I will probably need a hydro clutch, right?? Or should I go with cable and get converson kit?) and try to turbo those (is 14b big enough).... if i do that, then i will put the turbo on my d16z6, ---- first gear and fuel control, and have some fun till the motor blows..... or should I get a new trans for the car?? The motor and trans have 120,000 miles on it and i donno what to do!!

I would appreciate any suggestions and websites to cheap engine/trans dealers..... And of course, money is an issue. Thanks a lot for the help. And sorry for the long post.

Take a look at your slave cylinder and make sure the cylinder isnt leaking, and the throw is still good.

Have your buddy depress the clutch pedal and just make sure its got good throw.. Do the basics first before you condem the expensive tranny. Doesnt hurt to bleed it (as long as you do it right)

Good luck

Well, the situation is much better now. I went to trans shop, and they took a look at it. All it was was my shift linkage busshing.... it had gotten loose and so they whole trans was not shifting right. They tightened it, but couldn't get tighter, and it all adds up to a new bushing. That's a lot better than a new trans. Although, i will not dish out the 30 or so dollars they wanted at the dearship, and will try to find a short shifter that has one... two for one!!! Well, thanks for all the help guys.
