the motor has the gangster lean because of the receiving mount on the chassis for the mount on the top of the trans. Make sense? Probably not, The metal part of the frame where the mount on the top of the tranny bolts into is different on auto chassis as compared to the manual. You can do one of two things that i know of: Buy a hasport conversion mount. Its bullshit hasport stuff so im sure its $400, or you can get some spacers and put them between the mount and the trans. Not sure how tall they have to be, I'd start with 1/2" or so.

There might be a stock mount off another car that might work instead, thought i heard someone say that at one point but i have no idea what it is.

Re: 95 CIVIC DX AUTO TO MANUAL

I have a 94dx auto that I converted to manual.

As for the mount, I drilled out the spot welds, removed the bracket from the frame rail, and welded the manual bracket in. You could probably pick one up at a junk yard for cheap.

I still haven't done the wiring, been driving it for over a year with the electric gear indicator from the auto hanging out of the carpet. Its in the park position so it will start (clutch doesn't have to be pushed in). Also no reverse lights unless I move the electric gear switch to reverse. I just don't use them. The reverse lights are an easy fix, there is a sensor on the tranny that gets wired to the gear switch in the floor. If you want to do away with that switch you need to connect the ignition wires (the big fat ones), or wire in a relay to the clutch switch.

If your ecu is an auto, their is a good write up on pgmfi.org to convert to manual. Its pretty simple

Hope this helps
