hmmmm... came with a 5spd ecu and tranny from a 92 DA, so it was obd1. not sure if the obd1 B18A1s had an egr or not so yeah... im running an obd0 pr4, soon to be chipped with turboedit. can i delete the egr with turboedit? also what about that evap sensor? it shares a plug with some other faggot sensor im not sure of what it is. the first reply said all i need is the green piece from that cluster vacuum gayness so that would mean just leave the plug for the evap and the other sensor unhooked? hmm doesnt sound right.

as soon as my obd0 ls dizzy arrives in the mail i should be firing this mofo up.

so far all i have hooked up from that mess pictured above is the map sensor, just one vacuum off the little nipple on the throttle body to the map just like ive seen. waiting on my freescale 2.5 bar to come hehe.

anyone have any other info they would like to share?

You delete EGR by leaving the EGR valve disconnected from vacuum, and don't plug up the lift sensor either. The auto IMs are a little longer in the runner if I remember right, so you get more low end torque, your best bet is to swap for a manual IM off any LS '90-00. Don't pay a dime for one, stock LS ---- should be and often is free.

You can remove all that throttle cable dashpot and vacuum crap on the front of the plenum, while you are at it, it serves no purpose and likely doesn't work correctly anymore with how old it is.

There is no code provision for EGR in any of the softwares, or on any of the ECUs that you would run. Forget it existed, aside from snipping the EGR signal wire at the ECU (part of the CEL 14 clusterfuck). I'll try to look up the exact pinout of what you need to cut to make 88-89 HF be completely OBD0 MPFI/Si plug and play, I have it writen down somewhere.

1. map sensor - simple vacuum to nipple

2. evap sensor? - i got rid of that fag charcoal ---- so that leaves one nipple open? do i just leave it and plug it into the harness like normal?

3. green ---- - no use since the egr will be unhooked correct? sweet.

the sensor with the ? mark over it im not sure what it is, its getting plugged in since it shares the same plug as the evap sensor so yeah. thats pretty much my last question.

4. no idea why i put a #4 there.

so im just going to leave the egr complete unhooked from both vacuum and the harness and that is over and done with. also going to rip all that dashpot ---- off.

this would be easier if i had it running but im just doing all the little bits i can so i can have this thing running and boosted by the end of the month.

p.s. - got my mani/turbo on, EG rad and intercooler mounted and some other ----... after its running ill be chipping the ecu and throwin in my 450s. sorry had to add that haha.

Don't forget on older LS's they used a solenoid valve feeding the vacuum line to the fpr...should be one of them in that clusterfuck.

The only plug attached to the engine that needs disconnected is the three wire plug for the EGR. Pretend that ---- doesn't exist until you get around to deleting it so that it doesn't exist.

The only plug not attached to the engine that needs to be hooked up is the MAP sensor.

Plug in the ECU, she'll run.

alright sounds good i took off all that dashpot stuff and unhooked the egr plug. ill be turning the key once my dizzy arrives, hopefully tomorrow.

now there are about 8 holes on my intake mani i have to plug up hah!

wont i be throwing a code for those 2 sensors i leave unhooked? evap and whatever else it is? (the ones nestled deeply in the pic above.)

The purge solenoid, the homosexual valve, and the faggot-ass-does-nothing sensor don't throw codes or effect how the engine runs. It's just misc support systems for emissions stuff that you don't really need. Cold hard fact of the matter is most OBD0 and OBD1 Honduhs w/ less than 80K miles can pass 4 gas emissions tests with all that stuff stripped off, and no catalytic converter. Most of it is for the EPA's benefit, much like chrome valvecovers are for car show judges benefit; both do nothing.

Seriously, she should fire right up. Your main hurdle is I'm too lazy to dig up the pin out changes, or email Speedy about them, for 88-89 HF chassis so you don't have the (cosmetic) CEL 14 and minor idle fluctuations when you depress clutch pedal.
