92 accord problems.... read up plz!!!

Okay i got the delta 272 regrind and i did the valve specs from what delta said to do... car runs perfect when i'm driving.. however when i start it up cold it putts like a bitch untill its warmed up, so i'm think my 1 degree COLDER plugs are causing this and its about -15 degrees with windchill!!

also the car can't idle at all if i don't manually change the idle speed with the throttle cable.. but every once and awhile i can loosen the bolts and it'll idle fine but then after a min or so it'll start to go down to about 100 rpms or less and back up to 1200 rpms..... at this point i throw a CEL and i did the CEL check and this is what i got:

41- Accord Civic CRV CRX Del Sol Odyssey Prelude
90-98 92-98 97-98 n/a 93-97 95-98 90-98
Primary Oxygen Sensor - Heater
circuit malfunction

whats the heater circuit? and also could this just be the o2 sensor itself??? it has over 50,000 miles on it and i got a B&M FPR and its running pretty rich over stock........

43- Accord Civic CRV CRX Del Sol Odyssey Prelude
90-95 92-95 n/a n/a 93-95 95 90-95
Fuel Supply System
defective or malfunctioning fuel supply system and oxygen sensor

could this be the o2 sensor cuz i got the fuel pressure gauge and its holding fine at a 35psi with vacuum connected!

once again start up car cold and it putts like crazy untill its MORE warmed up, and the o2 sensor has well over 50,000 miles on it.

another thing i tried is i took out the o2 sensor and heated it up and stuck it back in and ran the car for a while.... it still has to be manually adjusted but it runs better and doesn't have a CEL after a while

oh yeah another thing i noticed is that in the sound of the exhaust i got a miss it sounds like..... plugs??? i did drop a plug when i installed the camshaft and i did have to re-gap it, could the 1 degree colder plugs be causing this to happen???

please help

did u do a valve adjustment??do you have a cam gear? are u sure all the vacuums got reconnected??......remember with bigger cams your idle is gona suck balls anyway. bu the code thing i dunno, sounds like a bad connection if it just started after u put the cam in.

Regardless of all that ---- you still need an O2 sensor.

Looks like codes to me. 41 is still the O2. It doesn't work without the heater.

ok i got the new o2 sensor in and that cleared the 41 code but i still got the code 43??? and after a while of idling it'll throw a CEL

it still works without the heater it just takes longer to warm up( it must now rely on exhaust temp) and start working, it would be just like having a old 1 wire, but you still need to change it :P

yeah i did change it but i still got the code 43 going on....

heres the weird thing.......

it idles now perfectly at 800rpm (just messed with the throttle cable and idle screw) but after 2-3 mins i do throw a CEL and the idle goes from 100-1200rpms..... what the hell is going on?

The way you say the idle fucks up it almost sounds like you have a small vaccume leak . I own a 93 accord, maybe I can help a bit. Have you had the relays changed/checked?

Re:92 accord problems.... read up plz!!!

main relay changed 10,000 miles ago...

Re:92 accord problems.... read up plz!!!

o2 sensor replaced, idle is fucked up when you first start it up in the morning.. after warmed up it idles good then 2 mins later it throws a CEL and code #43... also when car is running or off... pull the plug for the IACV the car instantly dies.

also my fuel pressure is good cuz i have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.....

when i'm driving the car is perfect untill i have to stop and the idle gets fucked up (bouncing)

also since i manually adjusted the idle with the throttle cable, if i pull it back to normal the car instantly dies... only at idle

stock valve lash is

Exhaust - .012
Intake - .010

Delta says

Exhaust .008
Intake .006

and my buddy said he's heard of cars not even starting cuz the valve lash is too tight... which happens to me with my remote start... before it would start up PERFECTLY everytime but now sometimes it won't start on the first try

this has to be it!!!!!! cuz all i touched while doing the valve lash is the pcv vale and the air breather.... and the valve clearance!!!

uhm, I would put your valve specs to stock,

Deltas spec on the box is usually in Inchs, not mm like it says on the hood. I was just at deltas shop last week and he says on almost all honda regrinds you use the exact same specs on lash.

to tight of a lash will make it run like ----.

Re:92 accord problems.... read up plz!!!

yes my car runs like ---- at idle the most.... i called delta on this and he said Exhaust .008 and Intake .006 so i dunno what he was saying but its not right at all.... i'm just going to go back stock with the Delta 272 regrind..

Told you... delta says their specs are in INCH's and we all read them in MM's so it looks backwards.
