Default 91 honda civic IHIB turbo Project

alright here we go...
i got a 91 civic hatch 4-spd its a d15z motor 60.000 orgnial miles, Si 5-spd tranny "i need a Flywheel and a clutch to make that work...ill trade it for a 20 spline dx tranny any day of the week...
I got a crx si intake manifold ,Si head, Si ECU,
HF manifold, IHIb turbo, Greddy Gorilla BOV, 91 madza mx-6 front mount intercoller..,

alight here are the questions ahah... there is no vaccum lines on the intake manifold, should i double head gaskets? for low compression.or will the Si head with a bigger bore give me enough drop in compression?.. how much boost is enough before i go boost happy and end up picking up peices off the road ? it would be great if someone would e-mail me at jujube556@hotmail.com and fill me in on the info and advice i need before im on motor # 5

dude if you have gone thru that many motors time to just get you a b16 or an LS motor or something...B series this time man...and on top of that it wouldnt handle more than 10psi really...8psi is good but 10 is pushing it really...and you will need good tuning also.

i have a friend who has a dx bottem end with SI head components..your better off getting rid of that SI head and just get a SOHC VTEC head like the d16y8 or d16z6 and just do it that way...atleast you will get some good power out of it them...your looking with a mini-me and turbo around 190-220 hp....tuned right also...otherwise you will crack a cylinder wall or a rod or something....but if you want stick with D series...but the B series LS rods handle around 320hp and and LS setup doesnt really cost awhole lot compared to other B series setups...

vac lines-t off any of them past the throttle body,i dk the com. ratio with and si head on a d15 but if u go with a vtec head its like 10.6to 1 thats high u would really have to have some good management, i know everyone whants to do thier own thing nut heres what i did pick up a d16y7 on ebay from a junk yard i got mine for 250 shipped do the mpfi swap to it, and boost it ,lower com. ratio than mini-me and on the 77 with stock injectors and a fmu i wouldnt boost anymore than 6-7 psi

You can safely boost upward 10 to 11 PSI on a B16 stock motor. Currently a motor i built for Chacko is boosting 13 PSI on a D16y8 bottom and a D16z6 head wtih water injection. that motoe in the the 8's for compresion.

I get the impression that you dont wanna spend much cash? I'd just throught together what you have there (Si head and all) and boost it to 8psi, 10 if ya' get it on a dyno and get ---- set right.

lol bring you ---- to me and ill build it chackos car in detail:

D16Y8 bottom end stock
D16Z6 head stock
D16Z6 dizzy
D16y8 intake manifold
Water injection set to start squirting at 4 PSI
D16Y7 tranny stock
rear disk break conversion
P28 OBD1 ECU
OBD2 to OBD1 conversion harness
Gready turbo kit W/O IC
Gready type s BOV
custom 3" exaust
yes, he is running a cat. no its not hollowed, its as open as it can be W/O getting in touble.
SAFC hack with DSM 450cc's

I wired the car to OBD 2 specs so we can switch from computer to computer W/O an issues if we have to and later on i will install a VTEC ligt to make sure it is kicking on. also there will be a regular IC installed. No knocking or pinging the block has 30k miles on it (from my personal collection) and the head has 45k miles on it. compression is in the 8's somewhere an if you were to take a D16y8 head and a Z6 bottom it makes high compression. I like the power of hte car and how well it handles. del slow my *** this thing is fast well have it at the track later this month and we are trying toget a place that can do a dino correctly. and yes it does take on corvette c5's on the street. later this week i get to work on a supercharged 99 civic si he has 250 WHP ATM
