91 civic hb d15b1 problem won't start
Well I replaced the cap which was really bad cleaned the rotor. Now I have power and spark, but it won't start still. I also sprayed some starter fluid in and it won't start. Any ideas on what might be the cause? I can smell gas after about 5 seconds of trying to turn it over. Help please!!!

Re:91 civic hb d15b1 problem won't start
When I did my motor swap I fired the car right up, then while I was checking to make sure that every clip and ---- like that was on right I moved a ground wire that was supposed to be screwed down, when I went back to turn on the car it wouldnt start. At the time I didnt know what had happened. I checked for spark and I got nothing.
What Iam getting to is, Have you messed with any thing else on the car.

I didn't touch anything besides what needed to be and then put right back on when I was finished. I looked over the engine bay a couple of times but nothing looked out of place. There is power there is spark and I am guessing gas because I can smell it after turning it over for 5 seconds.

Do you really know if you've got good spark? If you smell gas you probably don't have spark. Recheck for spark at every cylinder. Pull one wire at a time and ground it. Crank the engine and watch for spark. Also make sure your wires are routed correctly. Recheck all your connections. Maybe you have the firing order off. After you've done that if everything is good. Pull all of your plugs and clean them. Reinstall and try to start it again. Maybe your timing is off. Did you mess with the distributor?
