90-91 Teg Complete Knuckle Swap onto 91 crx HF ????
 

ok heres what i have...i went to a couple performance shops and they said since my car is an HF i would need DX/SI knuckle hubs....well they looked at my car and said since my tires have a camber to them cause i used lowering springs...they said i could get the 90-91 Integra Knuckle swap....they said use the A-Frame Arms all the way down...so i went to the junk yard today and got the Complete Knuckle swap....got the calipers and all...its off a 91 Integra LS....They told me since i would be using the Teg Suspension Knuckles that it would correct my camber to near perfect or Damn close.....2 shops told me this....

Is this Correct ????

im using a 91 teg I-Shaft with 91 teg axles

well some people claim it will throw off your suspension geometry, it may do it for the better? it may not. if you do put those on your car, you need to go get an alingnment by a professional and please let us know what he says...

i think im going to put them on....i think when people say they throw the suspension off is when it is stock ride height. now if it is lowered as in my car with a camber on my tires i think the longer A-Frame arm actually straightens up the camber some....i be sure to take lots of pictures of the installation when i do this...time for a good write up too...well for now ill see what happens but if anyone else can give me some input let me know....

I would think the knuckle is longer, but hell, since you already have the parts try it and let us know ;)

you could use EX knuckles for front brakes that are the same rotor and caliper of the teg with the dx/si knuckles.

mmm...the knuckle might be longer ?? so will it stick my tire out farther close to the edge of the wheel well ? i dont wanna ---- up my ----...but ill put one on and see what happens....anymore input...especially from abaz (jeff) would be nice. ;D

I have read alot about this setup and almost everyone says that the integra suspension will screw up your suspension. I think you need to use the civic EX to do it correctly. well see i also have the A-frame Arm and also my car is lowered and my tires stick out cause i have bad camber.....i was told that since i have the camber from my car being lowered that it would straighten out my tires.....but if my tires were aligned the way there supposed to be i heard it would throw them off....i dont know...im gonna put one side on and see what happens...if it straightens it out and works...im using it...if it fucks my ---- up ill be searching the junkyards again for 90-91 civic EX stuff....

yea dude, try it.....i heard it worked, but you just need to get an alignment done(and you obviously need an alignment anyhow).....nothing serious though....please let us know cause i am considering the same swap

alright...well when the weather clears up im gonna put one on and see how she does....its just i wont be able to drive it unless i had SI axles because my HF axles wont fit into the Teg Knuckles.

It fucks up the Susp. geometry. You will only exaggerate your problem. The DA Knuckles will push out the wheels give it more camber becuse you are lowered. Wish I could find a pic I Had of a my friends EF we put a DA set up on his and the camber was way off. I dont know why the shops are telling you this it been done before and shown to have ill effects, yes you can get it all to bolt up and work you will thow off the handling.. I say get the EX Hubs and bolt on the TEG rotors and Calpers and be done.. But if you want to try....

Is the only reason you are going with integra knuckles for the chamber issue? I would get some 90-91 SI knuckles/hubs and install them with a chamber kit. You will not hurt your suspension this way!
