ok guys i think i might know what it wrong with my car but before i go out and buy the parts i was gonna ask you guys to see if you have had similuar problems and what fixed em

ok so yesterday im driving my 89 civic with a b16 in it..
and when i would stop at a light or whatnot it would die
then id start it back up and drive well on my way to wrk today it did it twice when i was stoped then on the way home when i was crusin on the freeway it would either die or stutter for a second

i am thinkin it has somethign to do with the dizzy maybe a coil or sumthing or maybe the fuel filter has hella ---- in it and it is clogging some times.. what do you guys think ne one else have a problem like that?

First change out the fuel filter cause its cheap to replace.if if does not fix it check the cap,rotor,plugs and wires.then move onto the dizzy.

 

Does your car ever sputter when your crusing around?

 

The coil would be a good thing to check too

 

ya it was sputtering some times too.

my cap looks fine and so does the rotor the plugs and wires are new... so that is why i was thinking coil or filter. i am gonna do the fuel filter tmrw morn and see if it helps at all if not ill see if it works
the only thing i was wondering about was sinse it is obd0 b16
what coil and sht would i get ..?

i heard that a sohc would work like juat any sohc obd0
