89 accord LXI motor swap and turbo.

I just picked up a 89 accord with the A20A3 motor and 376990 klm on the engine. I'm looking to do a motor swap and turbo sometime soon and wanted to know what my options for motors are?

JDM B20A drops right in or get a B series mount kit to use a B16/LS/etc.

Go to www.3geez.com

boost your a series. Hands down most cost effective way to go fast in an accord

Oh yeah, boost that A.

You can fill up your truck with extra motors from the junkyard so just boost till it breaks.

The swaps are pointless for those since the b series that fit them aren't that good of motors, are old/rare/overpriced, and the mount kit to fit the normal B-series in them has been out of production for at least 5 years now.

I agree, go to 3geez.com to learn whats up.

Yeah, I remember yours too.

My 3rd gen had the diff bearings go bad, got the tranny/clutch replaced since I was Honda stupid at the time. Then somehow the oil plug worked its way loose, so the engine lost all the oil, while driving, but no damage was done since as soon as I saw the oil light, I turned the car off. (car went over 2 miles like that!)

Then the t/o bearing starting making noise since it seems the clutch wasnt adjusted right after they installed it, and it was hanging up, and wore out the bearing within a month. :)

The car did have 170k on it, was too rusted to consider getting painted (the paint was getting shot), so I sold it for $1900 to some dumb guy.

Used the money bought a teg. Best Honda investment I ever made.

The accord was cool since it got me into Hondas, but that's pretty much all that is cool about them.... (as well as the wealth of them in the junkyards)

Do you still have your accord?
