hey i just have one question, i am upgrading my stock clutch (which sucks) to a 90-91 si clutch size. act makes the upgrade, which goes from 200mm (stock on 8 to 212 (stock on 90+) now my question is will my starter still work or will the flywheel not match up? that could be a problem....thanks

 

so the clutch still has the same spline as the 88 right?

the starter should be fine. i have used starters out of an AT 90 civic in my 88. and i think the one in my car now (with 90 clutch/flywheel setup) is an 88 starter, no problems. i think its just the surface area that is larger not the flywheel its self...

if its the ACT 88 'upgrade' kit it will have the bigger 212mm clutch. if not he needs one from a 88 Prelude Si...

 

Ooooh, those Ludes had the same spline?

 

i belive thats what it was. the 88 Lude has the 21 spline like the 88 CRX/Civic but is the 212mm clutch disc. i will try to find the info to back this up...

 

the upgrade kit uses the 90-91 pressure plate with a 86-89accord 2.0 disc and you have to run a 90-91flywheel.. i have been runing htis setup for over 2yrs and never failed..
