Default 88-89 civic clutch?

i have a 88 civic hatch and i bought a new clutch but i bought a clutch for an 89 i didnt mean to do it but will it still work?

nope.

88 = 21 pline
89-2000 = 20 spline

is their any way to make it work....it is a kit comes with every thing for the install...if not im going to have to send it back and get another...what are your opinions?

if you want a bigger clutch on your tranny, pic up a 88-91 prelude disc and a 90+ flywheel and PP...

you'll have a 21 spline 212mm setup...
