81mm or 81.5mm pistons for ls block?
 

hey i am doing a ls/vtec setup and i ordered 81mm bore pistons and i still have to hone the piston sleeves and alot of people told me that i should have ordered 81.5mm pistons cuz of after hone that ill probably have not good enough seal so my question is im i good will the 81mm pistons or ill have to ge the 81.5mm pistons thank u

81 is fine

as long as you dont hone each cyl for an hour you'll be fine. usually 8-10 up and down passed in each cyl is enough unless you walls are scarred from piston contact

um ya thats what we said thats why they sell stock bore pistons

if ur getting forged pistons ull want a bit of slack anyways because they expand more than regular cast pistons
