5.0 Stang Injectors on Mini-me
 

??? ??? ??? ok, well we did the mini-me swap, put a new intake manifold(bad ass!),. so im wondering if i could put 5.0 Mustang injectors on my D16/Mini me?!?!?! now some friends of mine just shot it out there ass saying yes i could,... so the intake manifold came with a fat ass fuel rail, so we bored it out to what we thought 7/16,. to small,. we went 1/2,... to small,... so now were about to go 9/16 to see if itll work,. which im shure it will,.. itll still be a tight fit,.. but the injectors put out (5.0 ones) 19 lbs. a minute,... i dont know what the stock D16 ones do in pounds or CC;s or how to convert it! no a friend of mine told me that i would be blowing out alot of balck smoke because my engine would pratically be flooded with fuel, CAN SOMONE HELP ME,. and the only reason were doing this is me and alot of friends street race,. so we hook up our cars as fast as poss. and race all the time,... ty for your help!

To small, the stock civic injector is about 23lb / hr

(240cc's)

The stock 240cc injectors are good for just about 155whp, which is more than that little mini-me is putting out right now.

last time i looked at ford injetors they were the same size as dsm and honda injectors on the top....i think

Yeah,. see with a stock Mini Me, with funtional VTEC, i thought it should be about 130 HP,... now,.. its funny how i got this head,.. i traded my 17' eagle racing rims that were scratched up and bald ass tired for this 95 civic ex head(VTEC), it was shaved, 5 angle valve job, HUGE valves(new), new srings and new cam, port polish, ported to hell! and paid 200 for this intake manifold thats really nice, skunk 2 im thinking but doesnt have any brand name on it,.. so,... we were questioning the engine would be around 160HP ((+or-))a few,... thats with VTEC, its still going to be time befor i get a VTEC control,(jobless) so,... i figured i could substitue it with a RPM switch, which i read on a honda tech forum would work but divide it by 2 sence its for a V8 and i have an I4,... so,... what do you think?,... think it would work,.. and no there a good size bigger then the stock injectors,... but the main question,.. will my engine funtion better? and will the ECU kick in more air when it sence more fuel in,.. or how does that work?

also,.. on the mini me swap,.. how do you get your stock distrbutor to mount right?,... dont understand,.. only way i can think is to jimmi rig it

my ford probe turbo injectors fit directly... big difference though

i believe the stang injectors are 24lb hr same as your civic

The physical size of the injectors don't dictate the flow...stock injectors are 240cc/m

Well, until you have some sort of feul managment for all teh work, your not going to notice ----. I swapped to obd1 for this reason, proper feul and ignition maps, and it made a HUGE difference. And even if thsoe injectors were bigger, you would need something to cotrol them, like a vafc or turboedit, otherwise theyll just throw tons of feul in teh motor, and run to rich. Unless there the same size, then whats the point...
