Default 4500 VTEC on a b16a2?WTF!!!!

Ok guys, well i have two friends who just installed b16a2's in there 96 honda civic(ones a EX and ones a HX).They are both using stock wiring harnesses and GSR ECU's ,On my car my VTEC kicks in at about 5,500 RPM(99 civic Si).Well on both of my friends cars there VTEC hits at 4500 RPM, wtf is up with that?I didnt believe them until i rode in the car.The VTEC is definatly hitting at 4500 RPM. Does anyone know why this is happening, i though GSR go into vtec at 5500 rpm.

GSR P72 activates lower than B16a2 ECU's. Think 4400 is the setting.

The GSR has that dule runner manifold "clam shell" so VTEC kick over at 4400.. Then the Butterflies flip over at around 52-5500 RPMs.. Thats why VTEC is set lower on them.. Tell them to get a b16 ECU are a VTEC Controller to bump up the x-over with the b16 intake manifold single runner there loseing power with that low of a x-over
