Just got my mini me put back together. After i hit second gear the motor ticks real bad. I am just wondering if it would be the dizzy timing, or cam gear timing. I did not time it with a timing light yet. When it is in netraul and i rev the motor, it doesnt really tick. Any help would be appreiciated. Thanks

 

Tick? as in insect tick? Or misfire tick? Or bogging tick? Or valve tick?

 

The way you describe it kinda sounds like detonation...under no load it won't ping, under load it will. Throw a timing light on it and see what ya got.

 

yea timing was off a couple teeth. It still does is very very suddle at high rpms?? I did not throw a timing let yet. Will a tiing light cure detonation?
