well my friend told me about a guy he knwos that works in a machine shop he told me for 2500 he would build my d16z6 short block with darton mid deck sleeves scat rods and probe pistons bored 5 over all blueprinted and balanced for $2500.00everything done out the door sounds like a decent price but im nto sure i trust the probe pistons and scat rod combo what do you guys think. from what i heard the piston and rod combo wouldnt cost more then 600 and the sleeves are about 1300 average to be put in to you tell me what you think. thanks guys

$2500 is right on target.......

$650-700 for the rods and pistons, $1300 for the sleeves......

Then bearings and machine/assembly labor........

Bisi/RS Machine quoted me $3500 a few years ago for a built block and cam combo. The headporting was up to me.

 

what do you guys think about the prbe scat setup what do you think it would hold for power i was gunna go with a eagle weisco setup before i heard about this deal. what do you think would be the better choice. this is also going to be daily driven thanks again guys
