Default 24Volt alternators

Just need to know what cars they came from. Where I can get one cheap. Is it better to buy one or get a 12V with a re wound armature to make 24V. Would like some info. And if any one has one definitely let me know and if the price is right I'll paypal.

what are you needing 24v for? 24v is too much for most electronics, I think 18v is max.

You can get a step up transformer. http://store.altenergystore.com/DC-V...source=froogle

I know some equipment with diesel engines use 24v systems. A loader we used at work had a 24 v system on it. Not sure what kind of amps it put out though.
