2 quick noob ?

i have enough money to get my motor together and running but i dont have the money to get it tuned. Wiseco says i need to wait 500 to 1000 mi for my breakin period. I have a missing link and fmu should i run my car on that setup till my clutch and pistons break in i have a 3.75 waistgate spring now im think about leaving it on that. also what would be the easiest way to remove mateial from my rings to get the right ring end gap that i need ive read a grinder but since the measurements are so small im iffy about that all answers or recomendations will be greatly apreciated i have .20 overbore wiesco 9.0 cp with eagle esp hbeams stock head.

------- drive the car as you'd normally drive it.

breakins are for faggots with tingly assholes

file the rings with a fine file

and if you had the money for wiescos and eagles, you can afford managment.

I would think wiesco's would come with rings properly gapped, my CP's came gapped to right in the middle of Endyn's specs.

Break in usually occurs within the first 100 miles or so of driving...hard driving. You need to seat the rings properly, so go abuse it. Do a few good 3rd gear rippers (without boost for now) and then let off the throttle and let the engine slow you down. Someone find that break in article by the dirt bike guy if this kid really wants to break it in right.

just worm up the engine fully then rape it real good like the other guy said do a pull then let off the gas and let it slow so it works the rings the other way and your set just dont rape it when its cold btw thats how the dirt bike guy said to do it ... thats how i did my motor its running fine!

the rings didnt come pre gapped b/c the recomend diff gaps for diff amounts of boost and stupid ---- like that LOL on the if i can afford the wiseco and eagle i can afford the management. i cant afford to get it dyno tuned im thinking about trying the afc rater than crome b.c tunning confuses the ---- out of me. with lower compression how do you guys think the car would drive. i dont mind it being slow but if i have to pork it just to keep up with traffic ---- that

The reason they don't come pre-gapped is because of piston expansion rate. Forged pistons knock when cold like a diesel, and then slowly expand outwards as they get warmer. As they expand, the ring gap will change slightly.
As for your choice in management, my sig says it all lol. Seriously, even if you did use an afc, you'd still need to have it tuned. It'll cost you less in the long run to chip your ecu and have it wideband street-tuned than it will to buy, setup, and tune an afc. Not to mention save you headaches down the road.
