1991 crx...auto to manual trans

Just curious as to how much of a pain it would be for me to swap with d16z6 and a6 tranny into this automatic. I know of the brackets and possibly wiring. What else is involved? P.S. God damn is nice to be back on this site

I'm in the middle of it on a 91 sedan. The hardest part is the pedal cluster, because you have to drop the steering column and on the sedan there are a few air ducts under it. It took about 4 hours to complete that part. There seem to be several styles of throttle cables, the dx sedan had a different throttle pedal than the dx hatch donor, so I swapped the throttle pedals on the pedal brackets. That is as far as I have made it, but the rest should be fairly straight forward. I'll be doing the trans swap and shift linkage next week (finally got flywheel/pp bolts) and will update then if there is anything strange I find.

For wiring, all you should need to do is bypass the park interlock switch, otherwise it won't crank after the auto shifter assembly is removed. I'm putting my alarm starter cut relay in it's place.

It's pretty much the normal BS. I did a stock swap from auto to 5 and can't remember it being very hard at all.

You should take pics, and do a how to write up.

there is no need for a write-up cause its simple.

Change tranny, change pedal assembly, jump neutral safety switch, add in clutch cable. Done

Some other items to consider is the fly wheel and sometimes the starter. So I would say:
Fly wheel
Starter
Clutch, Pressure Plate, Release Bearing
Gear Box/Tranny
Pedal Assembly
Clutch cable or if you are going hydrolic you will need the clutch cyclinder and those item.
Not to worry this has been done many times so if you really want a stick go for it. I have a 95 EG and the tranny is giving some trouble and I am considering changing to stick also so good luck.
