Why not just put the z6 head on there?

i'd rather a d16y8, less work w/ the damn dizzy.

y8 block and head.
a6 dizzy, intake manifold, and ecu
VAFC for the VTEC and fuel needs after vtec.

alot easier.

you could even use the a6 block instead of a y8 block.

why does he need an obd1 dizzy its going into a pre obd car you need an a6 dizzy and something to activate the vtec that should be it the dizzy wont fit like the z6 did but it will work

Re:1990 si to d16z6 vtech swap

Using the stock ecu wont hurt the differences in the fuel curve cause he's gonna use the afc, but would there be any other functions that the y8 motor will miss out by using an older computer? timing, anything, etc.?
I'm doing the same swap, but I have the hf so I have more ---- to deal with. Just wondering
