Got a later model D handy? See how the 87 mounts fit on the newer D.

You can use the teg mounts from a 89 teg, with the trans and half shaft. If its a si turning it to obd1 is cake.

ya thats the easy way and the old 1st gen teg transmissions is very nice. You also need the front brakes/suspension from the teg has well for the axle splines

I believe rywire has a wiring kit for the car

If its carbed you got alot of work ahead of way and finiding a 1st gen crx/civic si to swap

gas tank/lines/pump
wiring/ecu/cluster

I had a first gen rex a long time ago. The body was super clean, but under the car was super rusted out :P. It was so bad the the lower control arms where about to full out, I ended up having to junk it :'(.

Not really. For mounts you use th 89 teg ones. BTW wiring is pre obd 0, but can be made into obd 0, then a jumper to obd 1.

Re: 1987 crx engine options! d series

d16a1 ftw...

if you get the second gen d16a1 with the black valve cover than you'll have to convert to electronic advance, because the stock si uses vacuum advanced distributers. so look for an old integra with a brown top vac advance for a direct bolt in with integra transmission and rear mounts. i think, don't remember too well, but the driver side mount should be stock.

they boost well, and they are the least painfull. for axles all you need is the integra inners, and you can make hybrid axles.

i put in headers, and waaaaaaaaah, then i put on the turbo kid and ------ hellllll :y
