Default 1.8 D

So I have a d16a6 motor that is no longer any good, it is nocking. I also have a set of b18a rods and pistons, I was thinking of boring it out to 81mm, and filling in the bock. The only thing is I don't have to much money to play with, plus I want to know if the sleeves would be to thin even if I fill the bock. If it the sleeves are not to thin I will also be boosting it. Any useful information would be grealty appreciated.

stock bore is 75mm I dont think there would be any sleeve left if u bore it to 81mm. even if u sleeved it i dont think it would work well with boost. build a lsvtec or something

ONE 81 mm bore/sleeved was attempted, made 4 NA dyno pulls before spliting the sleeves.

Well 1mm on stock sleeves on a d thats all you can go. Dave from dhr went 2 mm over with a filled block on stock d16a6 sleeves. Made 2 passes down the street. Cracked 2 cylinders. Go for it I guess no reason to. If you want to do it right get it sleeved. You can only cut costs in so many places. There is a reason why sleeved blocks are sold.

use the ls rods in the d16a6. crower still has bushings for the rods, you just have to give them the specs.
it's available as custom bushings and i think the cost is $8 each.

The rods aren't really the problem. It's just the largest possible bore you can take a 1.5 or 1.6 to and pistons to work with it for relatively cheap. What is the wrist pin OD for PR3's in mm's? I was hoping I could take a 1.5 to 79mm but from what I'm seeing it's not looking very promising. I had some stock 4v pistons found and everything. Now my dreams and winter project me need some more researching.
