im not sure what year it is i think its 2000 & up my 1.5 block took a ---- on me 2day so im thinkin of using the single cam 1.7 block just wondering if i can use the Y8 head on that block just to keep it OBD 1 ??? ???

Having a hard time comprehending that part? He wants to stay OBD1 and almost all the sensors are in the head.

there are no sensors on the block that i have to use and the 00 head has individual coils oh & keep the n word off your screen when talkin to me beyatch im not your mom

no a D17 (2001+) is not interchangeable with ANY 2000 and under D series heads. and a Y8 head is not OBD1 its OBD2A/B

If you can get it for free, resell it or scrap it. The d17s dont have ---- to do with the previous D series engines.

If you really feel the need to do an ENTIRE d17 swap (block/head/tranny/etc) I remember seeing one person do it on some queerball website, but I can assure you that it wasnt worth their time. Just get rid of it and grab a d16a6 for Pete's sake.

d17 has ---- r/s ratio and comes with a shitball head/intake manifold.
