*** Identifying IM Sensors.. *PIC*

ok now.. I have an 88 Si, stock IM.

I recently purchased a complete 90 CRX Si IM. with all sensors, ,TB etc attached.
My question is that I see different things, sensors etc between the two.

1.
88 Si: has a dashpot diaphram on the TB w/ a vac hose to it from the IM and one out of it to a sensor on the Firewall.
90 Si: has only 1 vac hose from the IM to the diaphram on the TB
2.
88 Si: on the back of the IM, drivers side there is a flat spot that is not drilled / tapped.
90 Si: Same spot, drilled/tapped and has a sensor w/ a 2p connector and a 1/2" ID Hose from it to the back of the IM near EACV.
3.
88 Si: on back driver side. two stamps. one says PM - 6 the other says HF - 3
90 Si: same location stamped PM - 6 and HF - 5

anyone help identify? and will that TB work on my 88 ? Im sure I can just leave the sensor on the back of the IM disconnected but would still like to know wtf it is.

thanks
-mike

Re:*** Identifying IM Sensors..

so is the sensor coming out of the tb does it go to the sensor beside the map,the sensor on the flat spot i think it is like the fast idle air control valve or something like that its one that is not used in a mpfi swap, try a tb from a integra that had the d16a1 in it

Re:*** Identifying IM Sensors..

...there should be a big red hose going to the canister off the top of the tb and a littler one on going to the purge cut off selinoid(the one beside the map) i think thats the best i can tell :-\

Re:*** Identifying IM Sensors..

nope! haha it's really weird..

ok.. theres like a throttle cushion diaphram near the throttle cable. it has a vac hose running to the IM. then it has another running from it to a sensor on the fire wall. there are 3 on my 88si's fire wall...

I'll see if i can get pics tonight..

Re:*** Identifying IM Sensors..

ok.. the picture itself is exactly what is on my 88 si

red circle = new IM has the port facing the FPR but not the one facing the dist.

green circle = new IM has a sensor here w/ 2p connector and large vac line going to back of IM near the EACV.

hrmmmmmmm........ i'm thinking that the 90 i.m. was from an auto., when i got my new b18b, it came from an auto and had an extra sensor with a vacuum line going to it on the i.m., i just took the sensor off and made a block off plate for it and it was fine, i still don't know exactly what the sensor was, but i know it was for the auto tranny. as far as everything else, as long as all the vacuum nipples are plugged and everything with a vacuum hose goes to a vacuum source, you should be fine, i wasn't too specific one mine, they were a lot different on the new engine/i.m., i just hooked them all up the best i could and it worked fine.

on the back of the manifold it says
PM-6
HF-5

my 88 si says
PM-6
HF-3

Re:*** Identifying IM Sensors.. *PIC*

the sensor on the back of the block is the fast idle air control valve. the rest of the vac lines that have to do with the dashpot diaphram i havent seen anything like that befor id just do away with it if u dont have places for all the hoses to go
