Z6 head bolts Vs Y8 head bolts
 

The magazine I am ordering the headbolts have different part numbers and prices. Are they the same damn thing or are they really different. I am using a Z6 head on a Y8 block if that makes a difference.

well I just tried to put a z6 head on a y7 block today and all but 1 of my ARP studs were to long :(

Well I can't speak to that specific situation, but they are not identicle. I know for sure one will be of the wrong length.

did you use y7 or z6 head bolts? i think you have to get y7 but why if the head is what the bolts are going threw wouldnt you match head with bolts?

I have z6 bolts, Im just going to sell the motor and rebuild my z6.

So what bolts should I get. I can grind the one down and round the edges to prevent stress cracking
