yeah, my rule book says you cant use an aluminum intake, but that is for the V-8 guys. I would look a little more into it. when they made the rule of no aluminum intake, they probably didnt think about honda's and other 4cyl cars...
I would call and talk about it, or go to a tech meeting. Im sure since the aluminum block was stock, they would let you use it.

i actually think the one dude was right.. i think they outlawed aluminum blocks so the quicker, lighter, more powerful & better geared imports cant ---- up the shitty dodge daytonas and other items of fagotry that run at the track..

ive seen 2 86-89 accords circle track it locally, i never knew there was a rule about iron blocks only (86-89 accord A20A is one heavy *** Iron engine), very strange. But yea the high rpm does take a serious toll on the engine after a while.

I talked to my brother again, he said there are alot of omni's out there, the seem to last in the race to. he said the power band is low, so they dont have to run at high RPM's. interesting. so maybe I will just research things a little more...

There's a chick at the local dirt track that races a datsun pickup, and kicks ***. And check out Grass roots motorsports site. They have a contest where you are limited to a dollar amount equal to the year (ex. $2004). In the last issue there was a nova running tens. You might be able to find some useful ideas in there.
