I've never heard/seen of an F series to trash rod bearings, especially around the mileage you mentioned. Not even turbo'd ones. The rings are usually the first thing to go. |

ive never heard of any problems with the 4.3l vortec. lots and lots of old shitty blazers, s10, and jimmys that look like ---- with 250k miles on them but will still smoke more hondas

my 98 s-10 turned 100k last night I've only replaced a window motor, water pump, and alternator and 2 of those are expected

yea i am keeping this bitch. too much good expierience with them and not enough evidence there is anything majorly wrong. Every manufactured type of vehicle will have a few lemons. I mean come on, people do b series swaps all the time and they know its hit or miss with 3rd.
