Your Favorite Albums of 2007
Do it faggots. Link to pages where you can listen to their music and a brief description of what the band sounds like.
The Gaslight Anthem - Sink or Swim. Listen to the full album here: http://www.punknews.org/bands/gaslightanthem Solid rock band with strong punk and folk influences. Album is really understated. Kind of sounds like Bruce Springsteen if he was 25 now. Nothington - All In. Listen to full album here: http://www.punknews.org/bands/nothington "Raised on the same energetic and proud punk scene that has given birth to artists such as Hot Water Music, Tom Waits and Mike Ness - Nothington is the bay area's latest great export of sing along punk rock. " - BYO Records. Basically really simple four chord folk punk rock songs accompanied by raspy vocals. Nothing ground breaking but very honest and simple. Fake Problems - How Far Our Bodies Go. Listen to full album here: http://www.punknews.org/bands/fakeproblems Great mix of folk, punk, and blue grass. It's incredibly youth full and interesting to listen to. CD I'm looking foward to in 2008: Paint it Black - New Lexicon. It's exactly what a modern hardcore band should sound like. Smart, fast, and angry; Dan Yemin hasn't done a thing wrong in his music career. |

Depends on what genre you like if you like current music. If you like rap, you probably love the fact there is such a great variety of rap music available right now. If you like 80's heavy metal, you're probably really bummed out by the current metal bands. If you like classic rock, you probably are probably psyched you have 20+ years of good music to listen to and don't need new music. Great thing about the internet and streaming music is you can at least try out new music and it costs you nothing. |
