I hate to put him on a pedestal, but my step-brother could totally out rock that kid. He is quite seriously the best guitarist I've heard in person, next to bucket head of course :P But you should hear him play Hendrix and such, right on with how the song was made. He's nuts :y

i dont really know much about how musical talent is judged, but im certain that this guys technique is very close to being flawless. personally i would compare this guy to most of the professional european guitarists like joe satriani, michael angelo batio, etc.

post up some of your brothers recordings id like to hear what youre comparing this guy to

Re: For you guitar fans. *bonus* 4 wheeler drifting!

Pretty sweet. I do have to agree that this guy plays very clean. Looks like formal teaching. I wish I could either play that clean or had more creativity when it comes to music.

I agree that kid rocks.about the one guy saying his brother inlaw is better. When you have two people with musical talent like that you really can't rate one above the other. ::)
I could definatly here the satriani influance on going on.

Um, yes you can DMC. There's arguments all the time about who the greatest guitarist alive is. Who do you think it is?

I'll try to get some footage or audio of Jordan playing... I know I have a CD of his somewhere here.

Re: For you guitar fans. *bonus* 4 wheeler drifting!

yeah that kids pretty good.. i'd like to play with him.. plays similar to what i do on electric. i prefer playing a jazz/flamenco style myself.. on my classical guitar.. but i started out with classical, then went to playing neo classical /metal when i was in the marines.. he actually reminds me more of gary hoey style in the cannon..

i'd like to see him play the song in person technique looks ok, but the quality of video isnt the greatest.
i wouldnt put him up with Joe Satriani or Steve vai or Michael Angelo, ..

as far as greatest guitarist alive... thats a huge debate LOL.. you cant really say any ONE guitarist is the greatest.. each one has his strengths and weaknesses.. but of an all around guitarist.. Al Di Meola is probably "one of the best"... Jason Becker "was" one of the greatest till he got ALS :(

the funny thing is most people rate the guitarists they know.. and in the style they like... so u hear alot of Joe Satriani, who is a great guitarist.. but anyone heard of John Williams.. a classical guitarist who has from time to time picked up electric guitars and rocked big time.. but no one ever hears of them cuz thats not the music they put out..

Now, you must remember this is from about 4 years ago with a crappy recorder, so it doesn't sound minty :-\ and I can't find the songs of him redoing Hendrix but here goes:

Yeah he's pretty good.*l*my son was rocking out to that first one.
I'd say joe satriani is one of my favorites. But he's a little mechanical sounding

I am sure you have all seen chops from hell. Google it. It is all a bunch of technically amazing players.

The thing IMO, that makes a great player is not their technical cleanliness or anything. I can't stand mamlstein, he can shred, but it lacks an talent in writing or emotion.

The kid can definately play though.

that sleepterror guy is pretty good.. would like to hear him play that without the drums

malmsteen has an attitude i dont care for.. he's definately a good shredder.. watched one of his videos once.. he was about to explain some chop he was going to do.. then said something to the effect that it was too technical for the viewers LOL
i was like whatever..

no way man. This kid is good, DAMN good. But Satriani is a god, and on a whole nother level than this kid. If that guy keeps playing, every day, for the next twenty years, he may someday come close to Satriani quality.

yeah i know.. but the drums make it hard to hear everything the guitar is doing..

there are some REALLY good guitarists out there who are unknown by most people.. i know of a guy in Astoria, Oregon who's way better than the kid up top this thread.. i played with him a couple times.. i was actually there working on his house... LOL saw his guitars and we started talking.. then that led to some cool guitar sessions.. he's married, got like 3 kids and just not into the whole band scene.. a shame.. i'm sure there are alot of other guitarists like that..
