mirc doesnt work i tried it, what i do for torrents is just leave my computer on.....ALL DAY sometimes you will get a spike and go up to 25kbs, but that on a good day. i hate schools and firewall

Back when I dormed at UW they had a very similar thing. They would just decrease the speeds on P2P programs so the most you could download would be about 5 Kb/s unless you happened to connect to someone in the university network, then your DL rate skyrocketed. You can't get around it by changing your port (Unless, like I said, the University IT staff are a bunch of noobs, which I doubt). You're probably SOL. |
