yeah, its got a hemi, its a jeep and its stock
another new find for me.
why didnt jeep put this into a wrangler is beyond me ??? http://www.caranddriver.com/article....&page_number=1 thought some of you might wanna see this: https://www.caranddriver.com/assets/...8200416949.jpg https://www.caranddriver.com/assets/...1200410521.jpg ENGINE Type: V-8, iron block and aluminum heads Bore x stroke: 3.92 x 3.58 in, 99.5 x 90.9mm Displacement: 345 cu in, 5654cc Compression ratio: 9.6:1 Fuel-delivery system: port injection Valve gear: pushrods, 2 valves per cylinder, hydraulic lifters Power (SAE net): 330 bhp @ 5000 rpm Torque (SAE net): 375 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm Redline: 5800 rpm Transmission: 6-speed automatic with manumatic shifting Final-drive ratio: 3.73:1, limited slip still a unibody ??? all the potential of a "real off road vehicle but a unibody" i dont get it. CHASSIS/BODY Type: unit construction Body material: welded steel stampings something else i dont understand is why they put 3 different 4X4 choices all in one. What ever happened to the good 'ole high lock/low lock? BTW, this is not a concept. edit if I had a choice, i would probably go with this: the new hummer. http://www.caranddriver.com/article....&page_number=1 https://www.caranddriver.com/assets/...9200412483.jpg |
Re:yeah, its got a hemi, its a jeep and its stock
what's so great about a hemi? i know it has a different pisto shape at the top, but what does that do for the performance?
|
Re:yeah, its got a hemi, its a jeep and its stock
that looks nice. the jeep brand and the hemi name will attract many people.
|
Re:yeah, its got a hemi, its a jeep and its stock
i dont understand some of the newer 4x4s. they have the automatic 4x4 engagement systems, where if you start to slip it will go into 4x4 mode. this is not good when you want to mess around.
but.. i was reading the post.. it says.. Valve gear: pushrods, 2 valves per cylinder, hydraulic lifters 2 valves? is that measured as 2 valves per intake and exhaust.. or just 2 valves.. because for today's technology... only 2 valves in a cylinder, is like going backwards to me.. |

Also.... My civic has a 1.6L sohc 4 valves per cylinder hemi. My focus has a dohc hemi and my saturn has a 1.9L Hemi !!! Isn't marketing great !!! Hemi, hehehe.... |
Re:yeah, its got a hemi, its a jeep and its stock

Re:yeah, its got a hemi, its a jeep and its stock
you left out the gas mileage of both.
here in socal, the gas prices are above 2.50/gal now. (premium) |

Re:yeah, its got a hemi, its a jeep and its stock
jeep has used the 4L inline 6 for a long time cause it's an awsome engine. inline configurated engine last longer cause the pistons have less friction than a V configuration. in a V config engine the pistons have the friction of their own weight leaning on the cylinders, V config. puts the pistons at an angle, meaning they're going to rest-lean on the cylinders, as opposed to inline that they're completely vertical, the only friction the pistons will have is it's own up and down movement. kinda difficult to explain just by typeing.

The new Rams weigh 5500 pounds.I dought that Dekota weighs that much.Maybe that could be it ::) The 318 makes around 250hp and torque. The HEMI makes 350 or so.It therfore consumes more fuel. Should I go on? http://www.new-cars.com/2004/2004-dodge-ram.html Read up Mr.I-------knoweverythingaboutdomestics I think your dads 318 runs off crak...stay away from the fumes. |
