if you go spend 1600 on video cards, your going to have to have fast ram (120~ a gig) a 2-4 good hard drives raided or 2 solid sata raptors 10K and of course a badass power supply.

If you dont have the supporting mods, then your not going to have a fast computer, I build pc's all the time.

I put all my spare boxes in a spare room to keep the noise down (they all run SETI 24/7), If I leave the door open it will keep my apt. warm on all but the coldest days. The nice thing is, my electric bill is turning out to be lower than if I used regular electric heating. Last winter I was approaching $100 a month in heating/electric, so far this year, I have'nt gone over $75.

If you have to live in an apartment because of poor credit (like I do), then try to get an upstairs apartment. I don't have to turn on my heater because the people below me along with my electronics keep me warm. Flat panel big screens are also great at warming the room. My average power bill is $80 but it's because we have a "not-for-profit nuclear power plant." That includes our 110+ heat index days, and our 20-30F and below nights we've had recently.

you don't *have* to have any of that. just the mb able to support the cards with pci express slots and other hardware capable of running whatever game you want.

hard drive won't matter all that much, ram might.

why are you starting an arguement here? you don't need a ---- load of raided hdds or the fastest ram available to ake advantage of the cards, and there is no game on max quality in every area that would slow those cards down anyways so is just a nerdy thats sweet type of deal
