Default Xbox 360 rip-offs. Why pay retail when its going to die in 6 months anyway???

6' HDMI cable, $3.56
XBOX 360 Component/S-video/AV CABLE, $6.75
XBOX 360 VGA CABLE, $6.75
30FT Cat5e 350MHz Network RJ45 Network Cable - Black, $4.15
+ Shipping

Used xbox 360 power block off ebay, $25 or less *warning* Make sure you get a 203w for older chipsets, 175w for newer. You can shove an older into a newer, but I wouldn't recommend it. (I have done it short term)
Broken controller off ebay, $25
OR
Used controller off ebay, $40
Broken Wireless Headset ebay, $5 shipped
broken xbox 360 hard drive, $5 shipped
Broken Xbox 360 (Any type) from ebay, $25-50

Depending on how much time and deal finding you do. You can have a broken+aftermarket system setup ready for $105-150.

Buy:
An Xbox 360 Elite from mit-mart = $400.
SEPERATELY buy a wireless headset from mit-mart = $54.

From here you have options. You must swap the cases and internal hardware on the consoles. DO NOT return an empty shell to microsoft. The mind that. They dont seem to mind provided there is hardware in the box. You can swap the cases on your controller for the new controller also if you wish.). You should swap hard drives for the elite system.

From here, return everything to walmart on a different shift or different store. I like to go in late at night "after a double shift looking all tired" and return "my nephew's birthday present he already had". Pretty much that's it.
90% of the time, off-shift hours (no halfway smart electronics managers) they simply want to match the serial number on the case to the box to the reciept. They want to see there is a controller in it and the wiring / power brick. Not that the majority of the time it's going to be a fatty patty / black chick and they WILL NOT CARE. If there are any wires at all they say its done. (I advocate keeping the monoprice wiring and swapping cases on the others so that there ARE the items in the box provided you run into someone that knows)

When your 1 month live card runs out buy a $30-$35 webcam from mit-mart. Take just the plastic shell, headset & reciept back. Keep the webcam and 3 month gold card. btw xbox 360 related items do not show what the item is. They start to spell it out then have a long string of numbers. Typical example would be "Microsoft software ahq984h9wq8gh394hg398hg".
You can also do hard drives, memory cards, anything like that. With memory cards just bust the case and superglue it back together. For xbox console cases that wont go back together. Superglue them shut.

This is a great way to get into 360's, repair a busted one or buy a beater for flashing / chipping etc.

Posted because there's not a ------- useful post in this sub-forum. Now there is 1 and counting.

Did the swap on consoles my self. I was buying them for $200+ broken and selling them for $300+ after swapped. Wal-Mart started getting smart and checking the boxes. Last one I did for Jorsher I used a hair dryer on the outer seal sticker on the box till it lifted right up. Super glued it back down when I took it back. Never even opened the box. (all the stuff was there though)

I'm just waiting till they start checking the security stickers.

the good ole' buy broke ---- and "warranty" it your self at wlmart trick. i pretty much quit doing this ---- because its too petty and not worth my time anymore. i started this young renting nintendo games and swapping the chips with games that sucked. years later i had a specific tool set for removing stickers and removing odd fastners

we also used to unfold the folded seal of celiphane on the top of xbox games with heat and a razor, then slide the box right out almost all the way, empty it, slide it back in, reheat, sometimes a little glue .

free games. computer games were even easier

eventually they started opening ALL games people would return, wether they looked new or not they would tear the wrapper off. one time it happened to us and there was no game inside :1

that's retarded. you can trade any game for another copy of the same game, which wont be unwrapped. then you can trade that for whatever you want.

piddlin with wrappings is tomfoolery!

how is that better :1 you can only return a opened game for a copy of the same game, we would buy a game, get it free and return a sealed empty box for our money back

That's if you don't even have reciept. If you have that, it doesn't matter. They'll give you your money back. The point being there is zero reason to fool with wrappers, stickers, reciepts. Simply trade for a new copy that will be wrapped. Then trade that for something else. As opposed to dicking around with wrappers, stickers, etc trying to fool someone into it never being opened.

only a completely worthless ---- will let you return an opened empty case for a new sealed copy of the same game. Think about what he's saying he used to do, then think about what your saying he should have done.

take the inflatable ***** out of your armpit and understand story policy.

any walmart will let you return an opened game for another copy. generally no questions asked. if they ask a question simply tell them you got it as a present and the disk doesn't work.
their policy allows you to do this because they do not loose anything in doing so. the disk gets returned to their wholeseller for credit.
