WTF are my brakes so shitty?!?!
My damn brakes suck...feels like I'm trying to stop a tractor trailer on a downhill, and takes almost as much space to do it too. WTF is going on here? It's a full 91si brake swap with powerslut rotors and EBC green pads, and the past 2 days they've been so shitty I warped the hell out of the front rotors. :P What the hell can I do to make this damn car stop faster, or better yet...what would be the best front rotor/caliper setup to slap on there for mad cheap? Been thinking about making custom caliper mount brackets and using a set of DA calipers on VW 11.5" rotors, similar to the fastbrakes setup.

if it's that bad i'd defiantely be looking at air introduced into the system at some point. do a big check of the fluid / air in the lines. Including the the master cyl & vacuum assist also.
on a personal note. kevlar pards (like EBC green & yellows) are the biggest ------- automotive joke of all time. they dust just as much, are no less expencive, require more of a warm-up to grip properly, even when warmed-up they have an inconsistant feel to them, and they have almost nothing for pad-life.
EBC FTL
Hawk HPS owns the **** out of EBC green's, they're consistant as ---- hot, or cold. they brake like a road pad cold, tip top end of street/strip pads on a track, and have a relatively ungodly long lifespan.
And next time. Skip the powersluts for some nice inexpencive brembo blanks. i really doubt you need the pad chewing slots. =) mad props for not being gay & buying drilled rotors tho.

u sure your back brakes are working good? mine were ---- so my front brakes would warp and suck and overheat alot. i swaped ex/si front brakes and gsr rear discs in now my ---- stops pretty hard. found out one of my front caliper slides were seized the other day too, that mad a differnce when i go that loose and greesed

Lol e-brake...kinda funny cause I almost had to do that today. :P The rear's are a DA disc setup, and they're working great so far but they also have stock pads on them. As for the powersluts, the only reason they're on there is because the crx parts car I bought came with them on it so I just re-used them. I'll try bleeding out the system again and possibly swap over a spare 7/8" master I have laying around and see what that does along with the Hawk pads. My local auto parts store carries them as their high-end pad, so I'll give them a shot with some new rotors. If that doesn't work, custom fab time.
