writing a resume
 

well im trying to get a job at a bank and i need to write this freaking resume, how do i start and what experience or luck to you guys have with writing a resume? Are there any websites on good sample of them. I know that the main objective of presenting a resume is to show the employer why you are the perfect candidate for one specific job or job title. Any advice would be really great thanks.

Most likely they want someone that can perform those tasks and who is capable of filling in in other places.
Don't limit yourself by telling them how fitting you are for that one specific position.
Tell them why you are capable of working there, not just how capable you are of doing that one job.
They might see you fit for another job they have available.

Google resumes and you will find more than enough to build a resume.

Don't embellish.

Never use computer templates....employers recognize and hate them....it makes you out to be lazy in certain hiring circles.... :3

Be honest an accurate.. I mean even when you think it doesn't matter. Write a cover letter to who ever is in charge of hiring and give a brief detailing of what job you want and why your applying for it. Also include a list of video games you have beaten and chicks you have banged.. you know to impress the bank fags.

They don't want to read about the daily duties in your previous jobs. They do want to know about your achievements. So, if you worked as a shift manager in a bar, you've managed staff, dealt with money, worked in a customer facing environment. If you've worked as a dish washer, you've worked under pressure. Taken pride in your work.

Mostly, think about ways in which you can show everything in the most positive light. Nothing is negative, this is about making a sale. Also, keep it short, 2 pages should be enough. And try to target the job through considering what they are looking for in an employee (reflecting that in your experience/achievements).

I've written a few of my friends resume's and have had reasonable amounts of success. Also, don't forget, poor spelling and grammar can ruin even the best qualified candidates chances.
