Write Up: How to go turbo for under $145

For post number 1000 I decided to give back to the community that has given so much to me (mostly headaches and confusion). I realize that the majority of the members run N/A cars with hopes to boost eventually; well my friends, your prayers have been answered.

I have custom pieced together a kit that even someone with the demure of kain can install.. best of all, you are supporting the concept that HMT was based around. It's not about driving a flashy car or getting -----.. it's about fabricating your very own turbo kit.

I began research for this project about 10 minutes ago, I decided to goto the safest and most convenient venue for online trading.. no not the HMT classifieds, but ebay. Ebay is a great place where everyone gets along and nobody ever gets scammed. If the world was a perfect place, it would somehow resemble ebay.

To begin, you will need a turbo, or at least something that sounds like a badass spoolin turbo.. who needs a T3/T4 when you can run with something like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW
This is a great item, if you would like to go "stealth" with your awesome ride, a quick trip to a gas station parking lot and you have one bad ass sleeper.

Now I bet you are saying to yourself "how am I going to cool all that hot air that the turbo is producing" an intercooler is the immediate solution, not only do they have a great function as a heat transfer, but they look completely tits sitting under your front bumper. Might I suggest something like this:

Not only does it have that clean appearance to it, it will definitely send off the message to the other drivers on the road that "you aren't the person to be fucked with". Pick up a can of $1 spray paint from the local auto parts store of your choice and you have a custom color matched FMIC, or leave it black for that "sleeper" look.

On to the fun part of your custom project, the blow off valve. Yeah guys, you know what I'm talking about.. the noise that tells the other racecar driver that you're sportin' a turbo under the hood. I simply cannot think of a better item to install on your ride then this custom BOV:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW
Just look at all the room for advancements that you have, bypass switch, volume control.. that ---- is just unreal! Some people spend 10s of thousands of dollars to their cars to get them in the zone that you are about to enter.

There are many other ways to spice up your newly formed turbo project, might I suggest an emblem on the back of your car to intimidate other drivers and let everyone know what you are boosted:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33643
It's a great feeling to know that you have a beast under the hood and a nice slick emblem on the back to keep things in check. Of course you do have that option of going the sleeper route, but always having a factory style turbo emblem is a nice touch.

Let's recap our expenses here now,
$19.99, $1, $119.95, $3.99.. that's a complete kit for under $145!!! (of course that price doesn't reflect shipping, taxes, or any of that ---- - batteries not included either). Just think of the excitement it will bring you to receive your very own turbo in the mail. Imagine the day that you bolt that bad boy onto your car, and really feel the extra 70 horses pouring out of 4 banger! This kit is meant for every car, diesel trucks to station wagons.

Guys don't miss up on this deal. Let me know who gets boosted in the days to come, pics are always nice. I hope my write-up has helped everyone come closer to your goals.

Special thanks to SinisterCRX, it's people like you that keep hope alive. Thanks for all the ebay lookups while I was busy writing this informative thread.

Ya lazy bastard, he spent an entire 10 minutes writing this ---- up, I looked up the ebay stuff... We gave you the chance to boost. Now, will you take the road of the ghettocharged, or stay N/A and remember nothing? Remember, we are only here to show you the door. You must walk inside, and feel the power of the boost.

If that was stupid, sorry. It's 3 A.M., and I'm used to falling asleep hella early.

Quadnie, very nice writeup. Glad I could help. ;D

hey man, I'm here for your support. Don't make me create this thread with a sticky in FI (it was tempting, but nobody reads there so I had to throw it here).

QUADNiE: just get one of those BOV simulators
QUADNiE: couple that with a exhaust pipe whistle for that "spoolin' sound"
QUADNiE: he'll be good to go
QUADNiE: damn, I should do a write on that type of ----
Honda Tuner 2307: You should, for your 1000th post
Honda Tuner 2307: haha
QUADNiE: damn, what am i up to now
QUADNiE: alright man, i'm going to do it
QUADNiE: i have one more post left
Honda Tuner 2307: lol
Honda Tuner 2307: nice

that is how it all began.
