I used to have a 240, I remember when a few friends and I were on the highway, they both had civic hatches, we were in 5th cruising doing 60 miles, they would try to race me, they'd downshift in to 3rd and pull up to my fender, i just kept it in 5th stepped on the gas and I was gone.

So about how much can you reliably put down on a stock block? I saw one with 350 with pistons and rods.. so like 250 stock block?

From what I've learned through various 240sx forums, I think misinformation is even greater there than on say Honda-Tech or even here. I've never read of anyone really pushing the limit of a stockblock engine. I've seen low numbers (200)-ish to high numbers (300-ish). I think the biggest problem is the lack of cheap fuel management, which is the one thing Honda's have over a lot of other brands. There is SR-talk but that's super beta and hard to work with. I would go Megasquirt if I had a 240sx, and then I'd just tune it and see how much it could take. I've read that the KA24DE has the same rods/pistons as the USDM SR20, just doesn't have oil squiters/super low compression, so I think the internals are probably pretty beefy. Go check around on some 240 forums tho, my info is just a lot of retained knowledge, not fact.

I have no clue where the baby came from.. i'll change it in a bit..... What are some 240 forums you guys like? I havent found any worth mentioning

Btw.. what would be some good fuel management solutions for the 240? I know there's the aem ems, but that's expensive, greddy e-manage seems crappy, and megasquirt seems way over my head.

http://forums.nicoclub.com/zeroforum?id=170 This forum isn't bad
http://www.240sxforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=10 This forum has a huge section on turbo KA24DE, I'm looking for stuff on engine management as I type (but you need to register first)

There's also the option of converting all your Honda sensors to fit onto the KA24DE, I have no idea how hard of a task it would be, and after you buy all the parts it might be cheaper to just have gone and bought a prebuilt Megasquirt, which should be available from a link off their site.

EDIT : http://www.diyautotune.com/products.htm

Just found this badboy at the top of the Engine Managment forum, 240$ for an assembled Megasquirt, that's not over your head is it?
