i heard about that, a dealership near me does systems like that. they say its better then lo-jack cuz the car owner can search for his own car online, then play with the theif, kill the engine, turn it back on, kill it again. seems pretty worth it to me. i'd get it but im poor. so kill switches n autolock n remoable steering wheel are my friend.

Any serious thief comes equipped with a rollback. Plans for radio jammer can be found on electro tech online's forums. Nobody who's going to get your car is impressed.

As for the guys who think they're going to drive the car off, you can get real slick with the kill switches and oddities. LIE about injector size or MAP sensor in online forums where ppl stalk your car, so if they try to roll up with their own ECU the injector trim is all wrong. Fun, fun.

yeah switches that are clearly labled stater or ignition or something liek that, that is really hooked up to the alarm works too. so they get in your car and they set it off my tryin to start the car . yeah and if they cant steer it they cant steel it

You can drive a car with vise-grips, no steering wheel.

removable steering wheels leave nothing to grab onto with visegrips.

Just like any security situation. Nothing is absolutely safe. You just have to make the payoff not worth the work of getting it.

Just have to add enough hurdels that somone will find an easier target. for internet that is firewall, windows firewall, norton maybe, encrypted network, ect. All can be beaten, just enough of em and it gets frusterating.

Same with a car. Removable wheel, lockin glugs, alarm, tint, nothing in plain sight, parking in monitored areas, parking indoors ect.

yeah if it costs more than your edectable than wtf. and if you say you don't have full coverage, then I think insurance would be a better investment

yeah but a theif will probably scope your car out. and could probably buy the same quick release and then take your car. i mean seriously if they cant drive it off their going to tow it. ---- theives. the only type of racers/enthusiest that get their ---- jacked are those that are into imports. no respect for other peoples ---- :-X

Re: Is this worth it to YOU?

I had full premium insurance, with the most coverage i could get on my car, and I had about 15,000 invested. As of right now they're only offering me 6,100, so i ordered a market value appraisal, which is a guy who will judge what the car would sell for with all the aftermarkets on it. Hopefully The price comes up a bit. so insurance no matter what will cover all of your car. Thats another reason it'd be nice to track your car.

I called this company and went to their website. it used satelite imaging to track your car, and you can zoom in to where it looks like ur about 100 ft above the building/car! you can lock/unlock doors, set a geo-fence (if someone gets too close to the car, the car calls you to tell you), turn on any electrical device, start/kill the car, and has backup lithium ion rechargable battery... The box is the size of a pager, or a bigger one the size of a pack of cigarretes. thats cool, u could hide that about anywhere.

just park your car in a garage, with 6432089745 locks on it, never drive it, never let it out of your sight, don't tell anyone you own it. DON'T DO ANYTING WITH IT.

Or live realistically and realize that your car COULD get stolen or it COULD get smashed up. These are risks you have to take. Make sure you keep ALL receipts for your car for insurance reasons.(and don't leave them in the glove box :P)

http://childlocator.com/ - Its only $179. Who says a car can't be a child? Just hid this somewhere clever... and even then its a retarded looking watch so theyd probably think nothing of it if it was stumbled upon.
