Is it worth it?

So I'm desperately looking for a civic hatch in my area and i found one that is TOTALLY rust free and doesn't have a single dent. The kid wants 1K for it. Now on to my problem. This car is a complete show car (body kit, 18 inch rims, blaze orange paint) and it has a B16 swap. The reason why the kid is selling it so cheap is because he bought it as-is and doesn't know ---- about cars and blew the engine. I want to stay D series. I could de-rice the car in a day or two, but I don't know how hard it would be to get a D series back in. What would you do?

EDIT: the car is a 93 forgot to say that.

d series will go in like butter, then sell the mounts and shifter to some one for a swap, the pr3 head and b series trans for almost what you payed for the car ;)

Jump on that ---- man, de-rice as needed and sell the rice to another ricer. All you need is a few engine mounts and you're golden, some people have all the luck... >:( ;)

the only reason why it's dent free is cause there is at least 3 layers of bondo on it from the body work. Worth it to keep for yourself, maybe if you wouldn't mind a flashy car. It might definitely be worth it to buy it, drop in a cheap motor and put it on ebay. Pretty sure it would go for 2.5k+ if the body is truly ding free and the body work is good where it don't look "wavy"

The only bondo on the car is where the sideskirts and rear bumper are molded into the body, other than that it's bondo free.

i doubt that.

seriously though what are the chances that the car has stayed ding free since assembly in 92/3? Most painters that I have seen/met use bondo when they repaint a car, even if it is stripped down to the bare metal. doesn't have to me a massive amount, maybe a thin coat or 2 just to make sure that the car is absolutely smooth to ensure a sleek and silky wave-free paint job. And if they bondo'd the sideskirts and bumper to the car for the flush look, I'm pretty sure that they did it at more than one place on the car.

I'm not saying i'm a pro or anything, I'm just stating my opinion and conclusions based on your description to try to help you out, try to cover all angles i guess. :)

I still say, buy it, make it running and ebay it. You will then get more than enough money to buy a clean stock hatch. Well either way if you if you keep it or sell it, since i now see it's a 93, it's worth it. They are nice cars, one I wish to own one day, when I could find one as cheap as that.

I would also have to say bang his sister. If that doesnt work, see if his dad is taking care of things in the bed room, if not, bang his mom.

Def. bang his sister and maybe three way with his mom while your at it.Then once the car is home take out the mounts and sell them to me as I need some.I would probably be interested in some of the other Bstuff as well.
