Workout Enhancers
 
Anyone tried Nitric Oxide as a workout enhancement? I'm looking through my Men's Fitness and see an add about naNO^X9 by MuscleTech. They say it kicks in within 9 seconds and really gives you a lot of energy to workout and increases the blood flow tremendously. Anyone tried this or anything like this?

nitric oxide stuff kind of works more that it just makes you "feel stronger" it gives you a good pump. Unless you have been working out stadily for a while you won't feel anything. But Don't buy any product by muscletech they are way overpriced. read up at bodybuilding.com. I would recommend xpand by dymatize or if you don't mind a massive caffine rush, shock therapy by universal nutrition. but if you want actual gains, get something with a form of creatine in it

I want a little more muscle mass and definition. I could live with strength gains, but that isnt my goal. I'm fairly strong as is. I've got a beer gut to lose and a six pack to bring back fomr my high school days and I'm looking for something to jumpstart my metabolism and give me better endurance.

Creatine with a good deal of carbohydrates in it is probally your best bet.

I've used a few different things, but they took a lot of what I was taking off the market. The real wins were Phera-Plex and Superdrol. They are hard on you, but if you use them right, they work great in 4 week cycles. That stuff I linked was the first one that made it through the last FDA removal I could come across. If you read enough, you'll figure out what's good and hot in the bb world these days. I personally still have leftover bottles of the two products I mentioned before, but as I said, they pulled 'em off the market a few months back. They all work REALLY well if you take them as directed... REALLY well. I can't stress this enough. Do your reading, you'll get what you need.

as a base you should be trying to take in around 200gs of protein per day. I also take Creatine Ethyl Ester in the bulk powder form.

Creatine
good multivitamin

Ok, here it is. I took the time for you and found the replacement for Phera-Plex. This IS the one you want. The guy above has the right idea, too. Good nutrition, heavy protien intake, etc are all SUPER important when using any 'supplement' like the one I'm about to introduce you to.

Be warned, there are "supporting supplements" needed to go along with it. Read the desciption and do your research or ask around before you take this. REQUIRED will be a PCT (post cycle therapy) with this stuff... but if you do it right, you'll get seriously nice gains, and you can utilize it to enhance yourself in anyway you like (bulk, cut, stay the same but just get stronger).

just do lots of reps with decent weight. Don't even worry about lifting heavy. Try doing dips, crunches, pull up, sit ups, with a bar with weight or yourself. Great # of reps is the key and do that until you max out. And stay away from carbs and eat lots of meat and salad and you should see some result. If that don't work try xenadrine even thought i never taken it myself and really dont know if that works or not. But some friends of mine have taken that and hydroxycut.

I did think about hydroxycut to help lose beer gut in combination with the workouts. I've been on the Jared diet lately and eating more salads. Also been reading Men's Fitness Magazine for tips on workouts and eating etc. If I get some whey protien will it help me lose the fat quicker than without? I know it will help ubild muscle...

Whey protein will help you build more muscles because it provides your muscle with the building block to be bigger and stronger after you break them down from a workout. If your trying to lose weight like your gut and to define your muscles I wouldn't neccessary take that first. Just work on def and reps and eat less with a diet and you'll see some definition. If your satisfied with the results down the line and want to build muscle and gain weight then i recommend whey protein

Haha. I lost ten pounds in the last week by not taking my amphetamines and loading up on sugar and carbs. I also haven't slept a whole hell of a lot. I feel great. :)

I agree with what BD is saying to an extent. If your looking to burn fat while getting big muscles the best way is obviously to light. You still need cardio but, growing more muscle will bump up your resting metabolism meaning you burn more just by sleeping. I'd say mix in about half cardio and half lifting. Use a variety of lifting strategy. Highrep low weight to start off. But, you also want to lift some heavy weights in order to stimulate different muscle fibers to induce growth. Don't try using any magic pills just yet. If you take the basics and do hard work you'll burn fat in no time. A few supps i'd suggest:

Multi-vitamin
Protein powder (don't consume too much, but eat this instead of a fat hamburger)
L-glutamine (very important for quick recovery and to prevent muscle breakdown after your cardio, try to get L- seeing as it's the natural form of glutamine)

^^ The basics

If you want a kick start with your fat burning try some green tea extract or HCA (hydroxycitric acid).

If your new to working out alot, the weight will come off fast because you're basically gonna suprise your body. Good luck.

i was just informed that he wanted to lose weight instead of gaining muscles first. thats why i insisted in just to high reps and low weights to start off out first. But i agree cardo would help out too

In my case Dexedrine, and it acts like a mild sedative with no effect on my appetite.

I usually eat once a day around 1 or 2pm. I dont eat so much I feel sick or anything. Just enough to feel good. Like a footlong sub and a drink. I've been working out for years, but never really did it in combination with a diet. I weighed 175 all through high school, and now I'm up to 200. I do not want to get over 200. Looks lik eI'll be throwin some more cardio into my workouts. Thanks for the info and suggestions guys!

You've seen the down side of it, Chris, I distinctly remember being incoherent in your car at least once due to lack of food.

I think you should just do a lot of steroids and become a totally ripped pissed off ----------er with a mohawk. :y

yea but I've seen you even worse out when tuning petes car...aka: resistor box wiring. lol :l Its cool man. If you want, you can tune my built rmt b18b in a year or so.
