Yeah I know... I had a few people tell me they've never heard of that crap before.

If they make me take off my turbo, etc... there's going to be a b20 swap involved in the aftermath with a turbo package put together and I'll just say I bought the whole motor as a package deal, heh. I'll trade a d16 turbo for a b20 turbo anyday. I'm hoping that nothing will happen so that I can continue enjoying my car the way it is. I haven't driven it in a while now

Street racing isn't smart, but I don't understand how they can pass those little laws that say you can't modify your own car... well, you can, but don't get caught using it to mess on the streets.

Well if they try to tell you you have to take the parts off.. I would be getting a lawyer and contact sema. They will be very interested in hearing about that. Untill they actually try to enforce it I would guess its probably a scare tactic to keep you from racing anymore.

Today I found out that (depending on the judge), could order me or someone else to remove those parts from my vehicle (ie... Turbocharger..), yeah... so go figure. Speeding isn't worth loosing all of this.

just prove to them that the actual top speed of your car is unaltered (you didn't change the gear ratios or raise the rev limit, right?). if the law actually says that you aren't allowed to "increase the potential speed of the vehicle" which if you're just turbocharged, you haven't done. i'd tell them to ---- off.. well, more politely than that of course..

I recommend that you read your states statutes and get the real info on those laws you mentioned.

Hope that helps
Good luck.
