power in car audio is WAY overrated. -hook that amp up to a meter that will show how much power its putting out. ;)

10,000 watts is about 2000 ;)

how many car batteries would it take to power 30,000 watts? ::)

I wouldn't mind getting a small system for myself. I like the extra "thump" 8)

You are right and wrong. All of the shitty companies over-rate but companies like MTX sometimes under-rate. MTX amps come with "birth-certificates" that show actual ratings of the amp you are holding in your hand and sometimes if you are lucky the numbers are over the box ratings.

I'm sure that sub can handle 10,000 watts, as the 9500 series subs can handle about 2000 watts each and they are about half the size and its an exponential thing when dealing with that kind of stuff. Trust me on this one. I know MTX.

my little MTX 8" sub is good enough for me(in a bandpass). Anything more slows down the rex

ive been considering a light duty sub and box, something light and doesnt take up my entire trunk.

i like sound quality, all my infinity stuff sounds really nice, but the low stuff is just missing overall.

a small sub to hit the lower range would be nice.

I just got rid of my spare tire and threw a Rockford Fosgate hx2 10" in the back of my rex...mounted it on a plate right over the wheel well. Have that running off of a Memphis Audio 1000D amp (1100wrms) at 1 ohm...plenty loud enough for me, and usually just as loud if not louder than most dual-sub setups that i do at work ;D
