Well as some of you may or of may not know when I moved to Texas I left my baby(refer to avatar) in Cali. with the plans to sell it.The reason was because the cost to ship it here was too much and I didnt see a need to have 3 cars.

Well today my wife got a job(ill be a stay at home dad 8)) and I convinced her to sell her car and drive my truck.She agreed since her car is paid off and is worth more than my civic any ways.Plus it will be nice to have that extra cash(about 8K) from her car.

Well the story was that my 16 y.o nephew wanted it.He has a 95 civic thats automatic that he was going to sell and use the money plus some that he had saved and buy mine.Hes taking for eber to sell that other car.Its been at my sisters house the whole time.

The tags are expired though.Im gonna drive it with no plates and no insurance...after all I am mexican ;)

Try to find a temp tag.....if you get pulled over say good bye to the car...if you want i could mail you mine that i used to drive back from IL with. Even thought it expires tomorrow....it's better than nothing

No thats cool.Im going to use the plate with the dealers name on it that came with my Dodge.You know,so it looks like I bought the car and Im just waiteing for the plates to be mailed.Ill be ok.Most of the driving will be done at night any ways :-\.

I've been pulled over DOZENS of times with no registration and no insurance and have always driven away........and I'm white. ;)

thats cool that you get to keep your car.....I sold one of my cars once and i really didnt want to see it go. Good for you, and good for your wife for offering to sell hers so you dont have to sell yours. ;)

Well looks like I spoke to soon.My sister called me late last night and offerd to deposit $300 in my acount today for the car.I was hesitant at first but when I factured having to drive 1300 miles again(from Cali. to Texas),plus $250 for the trip(gas & food) I figured I would just take her up on that offer :-\.

So it looks like Ill be on the prowl for a new project car.

YOur making the right decision, you live in crazy mofo cop town, and they will nail your ass for anything they can possibly get you on, ---- hickory creek, and ---- corinth. That being said, a no insurance ticket in tx is like 400 bucks.

I hope your deal works out. :-\ I don't deal with family anymore. They think since you are family they can take advantage of you. I hope your sister is more reliable than your brother. :-\ If not you'll be waiting at least a few years to see the rest of that money.

My sister and 1 of my brothers are the only 2 people I cant count on.She wont do me wrong,but I hear what your saying.

Well im going to look for an EG.Thats about the only boady style civic I like.

i live in lewisville over off of 35 and 121. I have a freind that might have a eg for sale, he sold it to a kid and the kid never made his payments and blew the motor so hes about to have to repo it, it needs a new short block, is a 93 si with a jdm b18c5 motor, new skunk2 stainless exhaust, fluidyne radiator, tein ha jdm itr coilovers with jdm lca's, a comptech sway bar, real SSR competition wheels, a fiberimages cf hood, and the jdm header. All it needs is a good gsr block and your set. im not sure how much he would sell it for considering he just lost of ---- load of money on it, but you could probably snatch it for about 4 he hasnt even seen the damage yet but we think its the a spun bearing, or a thrown rod.
