Wiring a welder

whats up everyone,

I borrowed a welder from a friend, the problem is it needs a 230 volt line. Our normal outlets are not that. I know that the dryer and maybe the dishwasher are on that voltage line, and I know we get like 240 volt line into our house.

How did everyone wire in their welder? Its got a big ass plug so it doesnt even fit into the normal outlets.

Help! I wanna get to welding!! Projekteg inspired me!

Go to home depot and get the female end to the plug and get a 2 pole/single throw breaker that matches your service panel and big wire.Shut the main breaker off and wire the ---- up.And dont kill your self.
