wiring gages with pics

k guys, iam istalling a bunch of gauges, and instead of going to the fuse box for power on every single gauge
i came up with this
http://home.comcast.net/~aztecwarrio...9/site1038.jpg

its a barrier strip from radio shack just hook up one power wire to it and u can connect up to 8 power supplies
also for this to work like this i had to buy a barrier jumper strip.its like 2 bucks at the same place http://home.comcast.net/~aztecwarrio...9/site1039.jpg

it just makes everything a little cleaner.

what do u guys think?

Nice, it will keep all those wires running neatly to the guages. However you do know you can use any 12v power source inside the vehicle rather than running all the power wires through the firewall.

especially on Hondas. If you look on the fuse box inside the car there are two spots for connecting spade terminal female connectors. 1 gives 12v on ignition on and 1 give 12v when lights on ;)

i do know that but im hooking up to many gauges... this way i can run one 12v switched to the panel and not have to worry about ---- draining my battery.. plus i have to many wires under my dash from the t.v, alarm, crossovers and ---- like that.. this was just ez'er for me

Don't forget you need to connect each of the screws to each other with jumper wires

hey no problem.. but make sure the power source is atleast switched other wise you will drain the battery. Probably need a relay of some sort.

ps. it will still draw same current whether you wire it like that or a single wire for each one to the battery.
