I have a Linksys and it works absolutely great, I have my laptop up in my room and I never lose a connection, unless someone downstairs turns the damn thing off. I even get a conncection out in my shed, where I do my work, its really nice if I need some kind of guide up for an project.

one that is 4+ years old is good. but one that is brand new sucks. they had like 5 revisions.

I rock a USR 5461 with a 5bdi antenna. For $19 buys you a built in wireless print server, WPA2 and rock solid performance. I actually switched every comp in my house over to wireless and it's great. I paid $10 shipped for the antenna on ebay and I get reception for about half a block.
